Finance teams are one of the most active groups in the Library, and about half of their projects are about the same job: turning scattered financial data into reporting someone can act on. The rest cover the close, underwriting and financial models, and getting accounting knowledge to the people who need it faster.
Some of the results from firms in the network:
Most of this work is quick to stand up. About two-thirds was implemented in under eight weeks.
The most common uses in the Library are automating reporting and board packs, speeding up the month-end close, extracting data from receipts and contracts, answering accounting and policy questions from internal knowledge, and building underwriting and financial models faster.
About two-thirds of the finance and accounting cases in the Library were implemented in under eight weeks, and more than a third in under four. Larger programs, such as bank credit-risk systems or multi-entity reporting platforms, took two months or more.
Most cases don't disclose cost. Among those that do, most fell between $25K and $250K, with a few focused tools under $25K.
